Q500q material is a Chinese steel grade for bridge structure. There are three quality grades (D, E, F), namely Q500qD, Q500qE, Q500qF grades represent steel plates.
Q500qE steel plate executive standard: Q500qD, Q500qE, Q500qF implement GB/T714-2015 standard.
Q500qD, Q500qE, Q500qF steel equivalents: S500Q\S500QL\S500QL1 in EN10025-6:2004.
What does Q500qE steel grade Stand For?
Q represents the yield strength;
500 represents the yield strength value: 500MPa;
q means steel plate of bridge structure;
D, E, and F represent different quality levels. At the same time, it represents different impact temperatures, which are specifically introduced in the mechanical properties table.

What are the Application range?
Q500qD, Q500qE, and Q500qF steel plates are structural steel plates for bridges. It is required to have high strength, toughness and bear the load and impact of rolling stock, and have good fatigue resistance, certain low temperature toughness and atmospheric corrosion resistance. The steel for tie-welding bridges should also have good welding performance and low notch sensitivity. These steel products are mainly used for the production of riveted and bolt-welded highway bridges and railway bridges (including cross-sea bridges).
